Which fuel brand is cheapest in the UK?

Go currently has the lowest average petrol price at 165.5p a litre, and Welcome Break the highest at 189.2p, as of 11 Oct 2026, 21:57.

Is supermarket fuel cheaper?

Usually, yes. Supermarket forecourts (Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury's, Morrisons, Costco and Co-op) average 172.9p for petrol, against 175.2p for the other brands: 2.3p a litre, or about £1.15 on a 50-litre fill.

Do fuel prices vary between stations of the same brand?

Yes. Retailers price each forecourt individually, so two stations of the same brand a few miles apart can differ by several pence a litre. Use the brand pages to find each brand’s cheapest stations, or search near you for the best value.
